Overview

The CDS system is the middle ground between evaluation and test boards. It is more configurable and flexible than an evaluation board, but it is not as configurable as a test board, in which every component can be tested and examined.

Where it lacks configurability, its design has options for the most common settings. Two MPC8555E CDS development system configurations are described.
