The MSBA8100ADS board supports application development for projects using the MSBA8100 Multi-Standard Baseband Accelerator device. The MSBA8100 device is an accelerator for Turbo and Viterbi decoding and Fast and Discrete Fourier transforms. It is designed to bolster the rapidly changing and expanding wireless markets, such as 3G-LTE, WiMAX and 3GPP-R6. The MSBA8100ADS is used with an integrated development environment (IDE). such as the CodeWarrior®® for StarCore®®-based DSP IDE, a personal computer, and the SmartDSP OS for MSC814x operating system (all provided separately).

  • MSBA8100 accelerator system
    • Programmable system interface with programmable buffer descriptors, two master buses, slave bus to access internal memory and registers, and interrupt or RapidIO doorbell generation.
    • Multi Accelerator Platform Engine for Baseband (MAPLE-B) for Turbo/Veterbi, FFT/iFFT, and DFT/iDFT decoding
    • CLASS non-blocking interconnect fabric to link internal components
    • 512 Kbyte M2 low-latency memory for critical data and temporary data buffering. Accessible from all CLASS masters via four interleaved ports.
